The first time I made the butters, I was trying out a DIY that I came across on YouTube. I was impressed with the butter I made, and the thought came to mind, as to whether someone would actually buy this. So, I researched what oils worked well together. The first batch had a very pungent smell to them. I asked my son “Akii” to smell it. He smelled and looked at me and said in a very amused voice “who gone buy that?” We both laughed. I told him I had to work on the smell.
So, I went back several times to get the right mix of ingredients. Akii and I would work social events together selling the body butters and oils.
December 24, 2019, Akii unexpectedly lost his life. My world was shattered. My only Son, My only Child was no longer here. In February 2020, I decided to rename the body butters in honor and memory of him. He was the one wondering who would buy it. I only wished that he could still be here to see who is buying our butter.
